1.0 TCe / ECO-G LPG (H4D) — Maint. Sensitive verdict. The 1.0 TCe three-cylinder turbo (H4D — shared with the Sandero/Clio V, and offered as the bi-fuel ECO-G running on LPG) is the volume Jogger engine and a willing, very cheap-to-run unit, especially on LPG. It's chain-driven and direct-injection turbocharged, so the cautions are intake-valve carbon over time, turbo/PCV care, and — on some of this small-Renault-turbo family — oil-consumption (monitor the level). The LPG bi-fuel system is well-proven by Dacia and adds valve-seat considerations (hardened seats are fitted) but is otherwise robust. A serviced car on clean oil is dependable; the seven-seat body works it a little hard. Buy on oil and (LPG) system history.
